The agent's email address

Your agent has an email address of its own: write to it, copy it in, or blind-copy it to file a mail on a customer.

Your agent has its own email address. You find it under Personal settings › Agent email.

Three ways to use it

  • Write to it alone — it is an instruction, just as if you had typed it in the chat, and the agent answers by email.
  • Put it on Cc when you introduce it to someone — it joins that conversation on your behalf. Everyone gets one message, you are always on Cc, and it answers the others only from what is in that thread, never from the rest of your workspace.
  • Put it on Bcc on a mail to a customer — the mail is filed on the customer's record in Customers, and nobody is answered.

The agent only acts on mail it can confirm came from you.

The settings page

  • The address — your main address, and one for each further workspace you belong to, with a button to copy it.
  • Settings:
    • Accept incoming email — turned off, all mail to the address is refused.
    • The assistant may reply to other people — turned off, the agent only answers you.
  • Your sending addresses — how well each address you send from can be confirmed, with help to fix one that cannot.
  • Conversations — the email conversations the agent is part of, with who is in them. You can remove a participant or end a conversation.
