Registration

Found a limited company or a sole proprietorship through the Brønnøysund Register Centre, from the first answer to the organisation number, in one place.

Registration takes you through founding a new company with the Brønnøysund Register Centre (Brønnøysundregistrene): a limited company (AS) or a sole proprietorship (ENK). You answer one question per screen, with the usual answer already chosen. The register checks the details in the background, the documents are signed with BankID, and you submit the filing yourself. The decision and the organisation number come back to the same screen. Only in Norway

Registration appears in the menu of a workspace that is founding a company — for example one started from Brigg Start.

The overview

The overview lists what you decide, in order: The company, Owners and shares, Board and management, Accounting and audit, Signing, Bank account and share capital and Submit. A sole proprietorship has no owners, board or share capital, so those rows are not shown. Each row sums up your answers and says where it stands:

  • Done — nothing more to do.
  • Outstanding — something is still missing.
  • Waiting for … — waiting for someone else, for example a signature.
  • Objection from the register — the register has an objection. See The register's check.
  • A lock — not yet; the reason is shown, for example that the documents must be signed first.

Click a row to open its screen. Each screen has Next at the bottom to go straight to the next one, and Overview at the top to go back.

Now

The box at the top answers the question «what now?»: the first thing that is missing, an objection from the register, who you are waiting for, or that everything is ready — with a button that takes you there.

Advanced

Below the list, Advanced holds choices most people never need. See Advanced.

Who can do what

Every member of the workspace can fill in the registration, and you can also ask the agent to fill in or check parts of it. Submitting is the founder's own act: the agent prepares everything up to it, but never submits. National identity numbers are always shown masked, to colleagues and to the agent alike.
