Setting up email

Forward your support address to the inbox, so email from customers arrives as conversations — and replies go out from Brigg.

Every inbox has its own email address in Brigg. You keep giving customers your usual address — such as support@yourcompany.com — and forward it to the inbox's address.

Step by step

  1. Open the inbox's settings (the gear next to it in the menu).
  2. Under Channels, find Email (forwarding). The inbox's address is shown there. Press Copy.
  3. In your email system — for example Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 — set up forwarding from your support address to the address you copied. Your email provider's help pages describe how; look for «forwarding».
  4. Send a test email to your support address. It appears in the inbox within a minute.

What happens next

Each new email becomes a conversation, and a reply from the customer lands in the same conversation. With Agent answers first on, the agent answers first; turn it off to send email straight to the team.

When you or the agent reply, the customer gets an email with the inbox's signature. If a reply bounces, the conversation says so under the message.

Tips

  • Forward one address per inbox: support@ to «Support», sales@ to «Sales».
  • Write in the playbook what the agent should and should not answer by email.
